The LEDs in these strips are spaced 1.25 inches apart. The scrolling display it makes is sufficiently large to be seen a hundred meters away or more. The WS2812 LED strips are not quite bright enough for the mid-day sun but at night and at twilight it’s very good.
The display is constructed of 7 60 led strips. The 60 leds allows for 10-12 characters to be displayed at once.
